Patricia "Pattie" Ann White (nee Snyder), 88, of Chardon and formerly of Vermilion, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Chardon Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness.
Pattie was born at home on June 23, 1933 in Willard, Ohio. She lived in Vermilion from 1975 to 1982 and again from 2000 to 2017. While in Vermilion, she had lived in Bluebird Beach and Linwood Park. She had also lived in Wellington. She moved to Chardon in 2018 to be closer to her son .
Pattie graduated from Union High School in 1951 where she was a cheerleader, majorette and played the accordion for school assemblies. After graduation, Pattie worked as a medical assistant for 29 years retiring in 1976. She was past president of the American Association of Medical Assistants and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of the First Assembly of God, Vermilion.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bruce; son, Thomas J. (Stacy) White of Eastlake; grandchildren, David, Cassidy, Tad, and Bruce White; great grand daughter, Ripleigh,; sisters, Suellen Lynch of Shelby; and her brother, John Snyder II of Coshocton, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Helen D. (nee Egner) Snyder, and her sisters, Carole Pickworth and Jeri Akerman.
Private family services were held with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
