Obituary of Kevin Cogar
Kevin Gale Cogar, 51, of Berlin Heights, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Wadsworth Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born September 22, 1967 in Elyria and had been a Berlin Heights resident for the past 19 years, moving from North Eaton.
Kevin worked for Ford Motor Co., Brook Park as a machine operator for the past 26 years.
He was a member of Florence Congregational Church and was a Master Mason with Gibson Masonic Lodge #301. He enjoyed being a volunteer fireman for North Eaton Fire Department, being in the outdoors, cooking, and was an avid Ohio State fan. He also loved his fur babies, especially Max.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Janette (nee Workman) Cogar; sons, Kyler and Owen Cogar both at home; daughter, Sylvia Cogar at home; parents, Gail and Icie (nee Clevenger) Cogar of Seville; brothers, Jim (Teresa) Cogar of Copley and Scott (Diane) Cogar of LaGrange; sister in law, Julie Coon of Norton; and many nieces,
nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Cagle; maternal grandparents, Goldie and Virgil Clevenger; and his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Effie Cogar.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Florence Congregational Church, 11801 OH-113, Berlin Heights with a Masonic Service at 8:30 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Florence Congregational Church. Pastor John Plumley will officiate. Interment will follow at Florence Township Cemetery.
