Donald "Donny Ray" Rhoden, 76, of Vermilion, died Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness.
He was born December 5, 1942 in Kingwood, WV and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 14 years moving from Lorain.
Donny Ray worked for Universal Container Repair as a Welder for over 20 years, retiring in 2005.
He enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, and VHS tapes. He was especially proud of his children and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy (David) Gendek of Vermilion; son, David (Stephanie) Rhoden of Vermilion; step son, Mike Agee of FL; grandchildren, Celena, Paul, Ryan, Alexis, Joshua, Brandon, and Maegan; great grandsons; Kaleb, Hunter, and Spencer; sister, Linda (Dana) Plum of WV. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy (nee Shaw) Rhoden; sister, Ruth Pyles; and his son, Sam; his brothers, Sonny, William, and David Rhoden.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. A Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Don's name.
