Obituary of Louisa Crites

Ruby Louisa Crites (nee Belcher), 80, of Vermilion, died Saturday, June 27, 2020 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born January 6, 1940 in Logan , WV. Louisa moved to Vermilion in 1979 and then moved to North Carolina and Virginia before making Florida her home for 30 years. She moved back to Vermilion in 2016. Louisa enjoyed volunteering for hospitals while she lived in Florida. She also enjoyed crafts, making afghans, and working and cooking for the church. She is survived by her sons, Herb (Becky) VanOver of Fancy Gap, VA, Gary (Tammy) Edward VanOver of Vermilion, and Brian (Shelly) VanOver of Homosassa Springs, FL; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Justice of Vermilion, Helen McCloud of Vermilion, and Kizzie Browning of WV; and her brother, Leonard Belcher of FL. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert VanOver; second husband, Ronald Crites; her parents, Everett and Lettie (nee Walls) Belcher; sisters, Mary Hasley, Belva Workman, Vesta McCloud, and Elsie Belcher; and her brothers, Johnnie Belcher and Harold Belcher. Inurnment will take place at Ashland Cemetery with a graveside service announced at a later date.
