Laura M. Hill (nee Weaver), 45, of Vermilion, died Thursday, November 12, 2020, at her home after a sudden illness.
Laura was born July 12, 1975, in Cleveland, raised by her family in North Ridgeville, and moved to Vermilion more than 15 years ago. She attended Westlake Christian Church and worked for General Motors.
Laura had a passion and talent for arts and crafts. Known for her creative spirit and generous heart, she enjoyed making personalized gifts, including paintings, pictures, pillows, and seasonal decorations, for her family and friends. She also enjoyed baking (especially her brother’s favorite, banana bread), traveling, fishing, being near the water, cheering Ohio sports teams, and playing with her cats.
Laura loved spending time with her family and enjoyed planning playful traditions to bring her family together during the holidays and throughout the year-her loving heart will live on in all the memories and traditions she created.
She is survived by her father, Darrel Weaver of Avon; brother, Jason Weaver, and brother-in-law, Nicola Vesco, of Washington, DC; her mother-in-law, Beverly Hill of Vermilion; and aunts, cousins, and other family members who were very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Hill in 2018; mother, Susan (nee Evans) Weaver; and her father-in-law, Robert Hill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Please contact Darrel or Jason for details.
Given her lifelong love of cats, the family suggests memorial contributions to Friendship Animal Protective League at 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035 or the charity of your choosing.
