Obituary of Anna Marsolais

Anna Marsolais (nee Boyd), 65, of Vermilion, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. 

She was born March 12, 1955 in Logan, WV and had been a life long Vermilion area resident.

Anna had worked as a waitress at Bob Evans, Amherst for over 20 years.

She enjoyed cooking, word searches, playing video Quest games, dining out, and watching SciFi, Christmas, and Scary Movies.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and going to family functions.   

She is survived by her daughters, Joanna Heatley of Vermilion and Trisha Valen of Oklahoma; son, Samuel (Candy) Heatley of Ashland; step children, Michael Marsolais of Vermilion, David (Trisha) Heatley, and Cheryl (Will) Michaels of Akron; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Corliss Stalnaker and Carla Boyd both of Brunswick; and her brothers, Roy Boyd of Vermilion and Wallace Boyd of Stockbridge, GA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. "Goose" Marsolais in 2015; parents,William Henry and Martha Jane (nee Sorrell) Boyd; brothers, Edgar and Fred Boyd; sister, Joan Smith; and her step-son, Jeff Marsolais. 

The family will  receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.  Pastor Jim Cooper will officiate.  The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/riddlefh.   Friends and family who want to come are welcome to attend, but due to Covid-19, we are asking that people be careful to maintain social distancing, wear masks, and refrain from embracing.
