Obituary of Donna M. Hobart

Donna M Hobart (nee Phillips), 88, formerly of Vermilion, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Community Hospice Truman House after a lengthy illness. She was born November 16, 1932 in Morris Crossroads, PA and had been a New Philadelphia resident for the past two years moving from Vermilion where she had resided 68 years. Donna graduated from Lorain County Community College School of Nursing and started her career as a RN at St Joseph Hospital where she worked for ten and a half years. She then worked at Community Health Partners until her retirement in 2004 after 34 years. She was a member of the Vermilion United Church of Christ, Congregational and the Eastern Star Madeline Chapter. She is survived by her son, Bart Raymond Hobart of Lorain; daughters, Brenda (Jim) Life of Vermilion and Linda Ann Hobart of New Philadelphia; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hobart in 1982; parents, Raymond A. and Evelyn (nee Martin) Phillips; sons, Charles Allen Hobart in 1976 and David Keith Hobart in 1989; brothers, Calvin, James, Kenneth, William, and Bobby; and her sisters, Wanda Kriner and Faye Burich. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 4 pm until the time of the service at 5:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Friends and family who want to come are welcome to attend, but due to Covid-19, we are asking that people be careful to maintain social distancing, wear masks, and refrain from embracing. Private interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
