Obituary of Donald Alan Nieding

Donald "Donnie" Alan Nieding, 55, of Sarasota, FL died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born September 12, 1965 in Lorain and had been a Sarasota resident for the past 10 years moving from Vermilion, OH. Donnie graduated from Vermilion High School in 1983 and worked as a Territory Sales Manager for J2 Medical Supplies. He was a member of the Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church and was involved with the Sarasota Moose Lodge 1319. Donnie enjoyed fishing and was a sports enthusiast. He loved watching Ohio State sports and the Cleveland Browns. He was also involved with the Cleveland Browns Backers in Sarasota. He is survived by his parents, Donald Nieding and Rosalie (nee Nemeth) Nieding of Vermilion, uncle, Bill Nemeth of Amherst; aunt and uncle, Judy and Gary Silvey of Avon Lake; aunt and uncle, Jo Ellen and Mark Sciulli of Avon Lake; aunt and uncle, Dennis and Sharon Szabo of New London, OH; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Anthony Nieding in 2013; paternal grandparents, Ward and Margaret (nee Phillips) Nieding, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Jean Szabo; and his maternal grandfather, Gasper Nemeth. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Nick Cacciatore and Reverend David Baynes will co-officiate. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/riddlefh. Friends and family who want to come are welcome to attend, but due to Covid-19, we are asking that people be careful to maintain social distancing, wear masks, and refrain from embracing.
