Obituary of Gayle F. Stack

Gayle F. Stack (nee Doyle), 65, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, August 10, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home after a brief illness. She was born August 22, 1955 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 38 years moving from Lorain. Gayle graduated from Ohio University and was a member of St. Mary Parish, Vermilion. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and was known for being the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Stack of Vermilion; son, Eric (Kelly Kennedy) Stack of Wakeman; daughter, Ali (Gary Mullins) Stack of Brunswick; brother, Greg (Sally) Doyle of Portland, OR; and her sister, Gretchen (Claude) Sparks of Wentzville, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rose (nee Cavaretti) Doyle and her brother, Gary Doyle. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a prayer service at 11:00 a.m at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. The Reverend Paul Schreiner will officiate. Private inurnment will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst at a later date.
