Obituary of Lila Rose Buckosh

Lila Rose Buckosh (nee Eneff),97, of Vermilion, died peacefully at her home with family by her side on Monday, September 27, 2021 after a brief illness.

She was born July 18, 1924 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 72 years.

Lila was on the Board of Directors for Lake Erie Lanes, Vermilion and the former Willows Motel and Restaurant.

She was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Parish where she was a member of Martha Martha and the Altar Rosary Society. She was a former Board member of the Vermilion on the Lake Lot Owners Association, past president and board member of the Lorain County Ostomy Association and a volunteer for Lorain County Cancer Unit. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed going to Silver Sneakers at the Vermilion YMCA and going out to eat with the Lunch Bunch. She especially enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in their activities.

She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (William) Holden of Bell Haven, NC, Denise Ann (Bruce) Campbell of Oberlin, and Danna L Mitchell of Oberlin; sons, Clifford (Becky) Buckosh of Hendersonville, TN and George (Maureen McGuire) Buckosh of Vermilion; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren;and her sister, Eva Buckosh, Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Buckosh in 2003; parents, George and Yolanda (nee Reisz) Eneff; and her grandson, Jesse Campbell.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 12 noon at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, followed by inurnment at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.

The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary's School or St. Mary's Building Fund, 731 Exchange St,. Vermilion, Ohio 44089.
