Obituary of Peter Malinowski
Peter Rudolph Malinowski, 91, of Lorain, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Amherst Manor Care Center and is now reunited with his loving family and friends.
He was born March 8, 1930 in Lorain where he had been a life long resident.
Peter started his education at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain and graduated from Admiral King High School. Peter served in the United States Navy from 1950 to1954 during the Korean War as a CB, assigned to the USS Firedrake. He left the Navy to help his family and met and married his beloved wife, Dolores Kroucik on June 7, 1958 at nativity BVM.
Peter worked for B.F. Goodrich, Avon Lake in the maintenance department for many years retiring on Feb. 1, 1992.
He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, Lorain. Peter had always enjoyed participating on bowling and golf leagues. His favorite sport was football and he loved watching the Cleveland Browns. Peter also enjoyed spending time with his family and feeding the squirrels and rabbits in his yard.
He is survived by his son, Kevin (Julie) Malinowski of Vermilion; daughter, Denise Malinowski of San Diego, CA; daughter-in-law, Julie Malinowski-Pechitis; grandson, Tyler Malinowski, and his brother, Joe (Helen) Malinowski of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Marie (nee Kroucik) Malinowski in 1983; son, Gary Malinowki in 2004; parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Bukowinska) Malinowski; sisters, Catherine Zeman, Josephine Anuskiewycz, Sophie Bizup, and Mae Jessel; and his brother, Stan Malinowski.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a prayer service at 12 Noon at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 418 W 15th St, Lorain, OH 44052. Private interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
