Donna M. Dinger (nee Hoffman), 85, of Vermilion, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born April 16, 1936 in Baxter , PA and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 58 years moving from Buffalo, NY.
Donna graduated from Brookville High School, Brookville, PA in 1954. She started her career as a school bus driver for Vermilion Schools, then she worked as a switchboard operator for Lorain Community Hospital. She later became a secretary for Dr. L. B. Watson and Dr. Restifo.
She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Lorain and enjoyed crossword puzzles, puzzles, gardening, and feeding wildlife.
She is survived by her son, Ken Dinger of Elyria; daughter, Susan (John) Sharp of Huron; grandchildren, Michael (Beth) Sharp and Jordan Brill; great granddaughter, Ashten; brother, William Hoffman of Dubois, PA; and her sister, Betty Miller of Hutto, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E Dinger, Sr. in 2008; son, John E. Dinger, Jr. in 2009; parents, Wayne and Madeline (nee Bennett) Hoffman; and her brothers, Jack and James Hoffman.
Private graveside services will take place at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
