Obituary of Jack Edward Jeavons

Jack Edward Jeavons, 67, of Birmingham, died Monday, December 27, 2021 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. He was born May 12, 1954 in Lorain, Ohio and had been a Birmingham resident for the past 50 years moving from New York. Jack served in the National Guard and worked as a truck driver. He had also worked on the Florence Twp. Fire Department. Jack was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Vermilion. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #397; VFW Post #7576, and AMVETS Post #22. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attending turkey shoots. He also loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas, where he had visited over 25 times. He is survived by his brother, James (Joyce) Jeavons of Vermilion; two nieces, one nephew; and 2 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Betty (nee Redinger) Jeavons and his brother, John Jeavons. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Military Honors will be presented by the Vermilion Veterans Council at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
