Obituary of Givens O Justus

Givens O. Justus Jr. "G.O.", 80, of Vermilion, died Friday, January 21, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born January 21, 1942 in Lockwood, WV and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 61 years moving from Lockwood. G.O was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for Ford Motor Co. as a repairman for 35 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Vermilion EandR Church and the Wakeman Masonic Lodge #34. He enjoyed gardening, eating out with his friends, collecting Nutcrackers, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Julia (nee Papai) Justus of Vermilion; sons, G.O. (Christina) Justus, III of Plain City, OH, Brian (Tonya) Justus of Plain City, OH, and David Justus of Alexandra, VA; brother, Bill (Sheila) Justus of TN; sisters, Ruth Neal of WV and Evelyn McClung of WV; grandchildren, Jacquelene (Thomas) Hayes, Jenna (Andy) Fooce, Brandon Justus, Mason Justus, Griffin Justus, Cole Justus, Avery Hecht, Owen Hecht, Eli Hecht, and Elliott Hecht; and his great grandchildren, Titus and Kamdyn Hayes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Givens O. Sr. and Myrtle (nee Nichols) Justus and his sister, Emma Nichols. Private services with Military Honors will be held.
