Obituary of Theodore Hofecker

Theodore L."Ted" Hofecker, 89, of Vermilion, died Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain after a brief illness.

He was born July 13, 1932 in Johnstown, PA and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 58 years. Ted retired from Lorain Ford Motor Company after 30 years of employment. He was also a self employed arborist for approximately 60 years and really enjoyed working out in the woods. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and watching football.

He is survived by his sons, James (Kathi) Hofecker of Wakeman and Theodore "Ted" (Rhonda Emery) Hofecker of Amherst Twp.; daughters, Barb (Terie Furtney) Hofecker of San Leandro, CA and Donna Scott of Alexandria, Virginia; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha C. (nee Engbert) Hofecker in 2011; sons, Brian Edward in 1993 and Donald Myron in 1997; brothers, Lloyd Henry in 2003 and Marshall (Jim) in 1980; parents, Lloyd Sr. and Elizabeth (nee Marshall) Hofecker.

Services will be for immediate family only on Saturday, January 5, 2022 with visitation from 10 am until the time of service at 11am with interment following at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
