Obituary of Ada L. Tingler

Ada L. Tingler (nee Rowan), 91, of Vermilion, transitioned from her earthy home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Kingston of Vermilion after a brief illness.


She was born June 5, 1930 in Sutton, WV and had been a Vermilion resident since1960 moving to Amherst in 2004 and then back to Vermilion in 2018.


Ada had been a past member of the New Freedom Gospel Church, Vermilion and enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


She is survived by her daughters, Mary Tingler of Amherst, Edith Ash of New London, and Linda (Gary) Broseman of Norwalk; son, Russell (Loretto Collun) Tingler of KY; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Glover of Cleveland and Ruby Rowan of TN; and her brothers, Hurschel and Roy Rowan of WV, Erven Rowan of Cleveland.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Tingler in 2000; parents, Griffin and Ruth (nee Snyder) Rowan; great grandson , Seth Warren-Hess, brothers, Jerry, Odis, Ben, Cary, Jack, and Everett Rowan; and her son-in-law, Lloyd Ash.


The family would like to thank Kingston of Vermilion and Mercy New Life Hospice for the loving care they provided. They would also like to thank Riddle Funeral Home for their guidance during this difficult time.

Private services were held with interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
