Roger T. Evans, 82, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 9, 1940 in Caldwell, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 10 years moving from Calgary, Canada.
Roger graduated from the Ohio State University and Cranbrook Academy of Art. He was a college Art Professor at Alberta University of the Arts for over 30 years.
He was an excellent artist and enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially baseball. When he was younger he even tried out for the Cleveland Indians.He was a huge fan of the Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.
He is survived by his, daughter, Brook (Scott) Altier of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; grandchildren, Nolan and Aidan; his sister, Linda Evans of Boston, Mass; close friend, Dolores Stinson; and his former wife, Judith K. Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth (nee Tipton) Evans and his sister Sally Vieth.
Private services will be held.
