Obituary of George E Tebo, Jr.

George E. Tebo Jr., 85, of Vermilion, died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

 

He was born January 21, 1937 in Springville, NY and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 39 years moving from Gowanda, NY .

 

George was a veteran of the US Air Force and also served in the National Guard.

 

George worked as a truck driver for over 30 years, retiring from E+L Transport in 2002.

 

He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, watching sports, attending NASCAR Races, and racing stock cars and drag racing when he was younger.

 

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Catherine "Cathy" (nee Osterstuck) Tebo of Vermilion; sons, Robert (Sandra) Tebo Sr. of Vermilion, Daniel (Kimberly) Tebo Sr. of Economy, IN, and Larry McLane of Manchester, NH; daughters, Debra (Danny) Thomas of North Collins, NY and Shannon Kingsboro of Vermilion; grandchildren, Robert Jr., Thomas, Daniel Jr., Amy, Danny, Jessica, Danielle, Christopher, Bree, Chad, and Vicki; several great grandchildren; brothers, Lee Tebo, Dexter Tebo, and William Jirak; and his sisters, Brenda Cieszynski, Anna Bach, and Joyce Jirak.

 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ester (nee French) Tebo; parents, George Sr. and Eva (nee Mattice) Tebo; and infant brother, James Tebo.

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service and Military Honors presented by the Vermilion Veterans Council at 6:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Interment will take place Thrusday, March 31, 2022 at 12 Noon at Maplewood Cemetery, Springville, NY.
